Bigway Sales is a propane parts supplier based in East Texas, proudly serving propane companies with the components they need to keep operations running smoothly. As a division of McAdams Propane—one of the region’s most trusted names in propane service—Bigway was founded to meet the growing demand for reliable parts within the industry.

Bigway is a family-run business operated by Billy Bob and Lisa McAdams, along with their son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Sharisse McAdams. But the company’s roots go back decades, deeply woven into the history of Shelby County and the growth of the Deep East Texas economy.

Lisa’s grandfather was a truck driver for local propane supplier Bu-Pane, owned by Mack Bussey—father-in-law of former Center Mayor John D. Windham. Her father, Weldon Boles, later worked in the same business, while her mother, Jimmie Boles, managed the office. The propane industry has always been a part of Lisa’s family legacy.

Though Billy Bob and Lisa left Center in 1980 to pursue a stable career with Southwestern Bell, they returned just a year later to work alongside Lisa’s father in the family propane business. Leaving behind the security of a corporate job was not an easy choice, but it was a leap of faith that ultimately shaped their future.

“I was born and raised here in Center, but it was still a tough decision to leave Southwestern Bell, which was something I thought I’d do the rest of my life,” Billy Bob recalls. “We looked at it as an opportunity to have our future back home with our families.”

That decision laid the foundation for what would become a thriving, multi-generational business committed to service, reliability, and community. Today, Bigway Sales stands on that same foundation—providing high-quality propane parts and dependable service to fellow propane providers throughout the region.
